Interior panels are much more than a decorative element. They combine aesthetics with functionality, offering both protection and style. Surfaces covered with them are more resistant to everyday minor damage and dirt. Their water and fire resistance provides numerous advantages and expands their possible applications in areas where ordinary panels are not suitable.
Our interior wall cladding is crafted with attention to every detail. They offer the ability to create unique interiors that reflect each client’s personal style. From classic to modern solutions, our wall panels meet a wide range of requirements and preferences.

What are decorative wall panels?

Wall panels are specialized cladding installed on walls and ceilings to achieve a decorative effect and added protection. These durable panels cover surfaces, making them more resistant to dirt and minor impacts.
Thanks to their variety of shapes and patterns, modern wall panels create accents within a room and add visual depth. They can transform the overall atmosphere of a space through their unique textures and color options.
Interior cladding is made from bamboo-based composite wood and is available in a wide range of designer shapes and textures.
Our composite interior cladding is developed with meticulous attention to detail. All wall boards are designed to ensure long-lasting performance and aesthetic perfection.

Advantages of Composite Wood Interior Wall Cladding

Interior cladding made from composite material offers numerous benefits compared to traditional solutions.
Bamboo is the key element behind the exotic look and the path toward sustainable design. Bamboo-based composite wood is an eco-friendly solution that reduces the use of solid timber. It is replaced by bamboo — a fast-growing and renewable resource.
The main advantages of composite wall panels include:

  • Increased resistance to dirt and scratches;
  • Designer solutions with a variety of shapes, colors, and textures for customizing the space;
  • Stylish accent by integrating wall panels into furniture;
  • Water resistance, which expands their application in moisture-prone areas;
  • Fire resistance for buildings with higher safety requirements;
  • Easy maintenance, requiring only a damp cloth for cleaning, unlike painted walls that often accumulate stains;
  • Long lifespan with no need for special maintenance;
  • An eco-friendly choice, thanks to the composite material made with bamboo wood;
  • They enhance the thermal and sound insulation properties of interior spaces.

Artefino’s interior cladding combines all these advantages in a single product. It is the ideal solution aligned with modern requirements for durable interior materials, offering functionality without compromising aesthetics.

Types of Wall Panels

The main types of decorative wall cladding used to create a cozy and modern interior differ primarily in their shape and color.
We offer a wide range of shapes, textures, and colors for interior design—from 3D ribbed to flat wall panels; from wood grains to metallic tones; as well as options resembling leather and fabric.

Color Shades

Available interior panels in various colors offer a rich palette for every taste and style.
With us, you will find elegant shades that express the character of your interior:

  • White tones – options for matte and glossy panels;
  • Wood tones – oak, American walnut, bleached walnut, beech, wenge, and white veneer;
  • Metallic tones – gold, silver, bronze, and pearl bronze;
  • Textile and leather shades – linen fabric, white leather, grey leather, and cappuccino leather.

Whether you prefer neutral, subtle decorative cladding or bold, expressive accents, you can let your imagination run wild and create a unique atmosphere.

3D Wall Panels

Original decorative interior panels with a three-dimensional effect create impressive visual accents. 3D wall panels with texture play with light and shadow, adding depth to any space.
Ribbed wall panels feature repeating raised geometric shapes with clean lines. Depending on the depth of the relief, they can be classified as flat or with a more prominent rib.
They can come with finishes resembling wood, or striking matte and glossy colors and patterns with metallic tones in gold, silver, or bronze.
Wave-shaped wall panels, with either convex or concave “waves,” reflect contemporary interior trends where curved forms are increasingly popular.
Wall panels with a convex wave are considered upholstery-style panels due to their padded appearance. Panels with a concave wave create a distinctive accent that cannot go unnoticed.
Modern materials and color tones make these interior wall claddings a true design trend, preferred by designers and furniture makers for private homes as well as offices, studios, restaurants, and commercial spaces.

Flat Wall Panels

With flat wall panels, the patterns and textures play a key role in the visual effect. The selection of wood–polymer panels includes a wide range of imitations—from classic wood textures to modern decorative panels in various colors.
Beautiful decorative panels create a sense of style and comfort thanks to surface finishes that resemble different materials such as linen, leather, satin, or veneer.
Each model made from composite bamboo wood is created with care for nature and designed to provide maximum protection against dirt and damage, long-lasting durability, and strong visual impact.

Applications of Interior Cladding

The increasingly popular interior wall claddings are used to cover walls and ceilings, protecting them while adding visual appeal.
They can be applied in all types of indoor spaces, including moisture-prone areas. They integrate easily into furniture and create striking accents. The variety of applications is impressive and spans many fields.

In Residential Spaces

For the home, wall panels for the living room are most often chosen to decorate a single accent wall using combinations of 3D and flat panels. Wall panels for the bedroom are typically installed behind the bed and nightstands, protecting the surface from dirt while creating an impressive design feature.
Modern decorative kitchen panels are also widely used. They can be integrated into cabinet doors or the base of a kitchen island, emphasizing its central role. The interplay of colors and shapes adds style and liveliness to the space.
Wall panels for hallways are especially useful because they protect the walls from daily dirt when outer clothing and shoes are placed nearby.
Decorative panels with various patterns are also used to create interesting effects on staircases, offering durability while protecting against minor damage.
The water resistance of composite bamboo wall panels allows them to be used on ceilings and walls in bathrooms, toilets, and other wet areas.

In Offices

In office environments, cladding is used in work areas, dining spaces, and employee relaxation zones. They are installed behind office chairs to protect the wall from damage caused by chair movement, or on walls that people frequently lean against and which tend to get dirty. Wall panels are easy to clean, giving them an advantage over paint, which easily shows marks.
They are also suitable for service rooms on ceilings and walls, as long as the surfaces are not exposed to aggressive cleaning agents. They can serve as an elegant decorative element in private offices and conference rooms.
With modern decorative panels, you can incorporate attractive design techniques and create a unique and personalized space.

In Restaurants

When furnishing restaurants and hospitality venues, wall décor behind the bar can be used to achieve a stylish effect. The bar itself or other areas of the establishment can also be clad. Furniture makers can incorporate the panels as an attractive material in the production of custom furniture.
Cladding is applied to walls for protection against dirt and to achieve an elegant aesthetic, and wall panels are also used in professional kitchen areas.
They can be integrated into the interior of restrooms and wet rooms. A great idea is to use them to create a beautiful and stylish photo corner where guests can take pictures and tag your venue on social media.

In Hotels

The hospitality sector values the ability to quickly renovate rooms without the need for prior wall preparation. This saves renovation time and allows hotels to reopen to guests much faster.
The panels protect walls from minor damage caused by large suitcases and serve as an accent behind beds, helping to prevent dirt and wear.
They also create beautiful focal points behind reception desks and in spa areas that are not exposed to high temperatures. Their water resistance gives them an advantage in humid spaces where ordinary panels would not withstand conditions.
Their versatility makes them suitable for various environments and specific usage requirements.
Our priority is to provide high-quality products and services at affordable prices.

How are decorative panels mounted to the wall?

For the city of Sofia, we offer installation services for areas over 50 sq.m, and across the country for areas over 150 sq.m.
The panels can be adhered directly to the wall using special adhesive or mounted with clips and screws onto a pre-installed structure made of impregnated wooden battens, 1–2 cm thick, attached to the wall.
Several installation methods can be used depending on the type of surface on which the panels will be placed.

Mounting on a brick wall with plaster

Different installation methods can be used, listed below.
First method

They are bonded to the cleaned, plastered brick wall using mounting adhesive. For additional strength, each profile is secured with at least one mechanical fastener.

We insert a suitable wall plug for brick, and using a screw, we fasten a clip that holds the interior profile in its groove. This clip is then covered by the next profile, remaining hidden.
Second method
A structure is built using horizontally positioned impregnated wooden battens, 1–2 cm thick, fixed to the wall with wall plugs every 50 cm in height. The first batten is placed 10–15 cm above the floor, and the last one 10–15 cm below the ceiling.
Next, we install the interior cladding profile, attaching a clip with a hook to the groove. Using the hook, the profile is screwed onto the wooden structure. This clip is covered by the next profile and remains hidden.

Mounting on a drywall (plasterboard) wall
They are adhered to the cleaned drywall surface using mounting adhesive. Each profile is secured with at least one mechanical fastener to provide additional strength.
We insert a suitable drywall anchor, and using a screw, we fasten a clip that holds the interior profile in its groove. This clip is then covered by the next profile, remaining hidden.
Maintenance
Maintaining these eco-friendly panels is extremely easy. Installed composite panels are cleaned simply with a damp cloth, making them highly practical for everyday use.

Inspiring Ideas with Interior Cladding

The shapes of the panels define the visual effect and character of the space. Choose a design based on the application area, interior design style, furnishings, functionality, and the effect you want to achieve.

Here are some ideas for effects you can use individually or in combination:

  • Ribbed panels with a pronounced ridge are suitable for spacious rooms. They work well on their own or combined with a flat panel.
  • Panels with a flat rib offer a more subtle and delicate accent. They look good on their own but can also be combined.
  • Curtain-style cladding mimics the softness of fabric. It looks good on its own or combined with a flat panel.
  • Upholstery-style cladding has a strong presence. It pairs well with a flat panel.
  • Wave-shaped panels add elegance and style with their smooth flowing lines. They look great on their own.

Modern design and interior planning software allows you to visualize different options and choose the most suitable solution. You may also consult an interior designer to achieve an impressive look that brings joy and harmony to your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the most impactful way to clad a wall?

Combining 3D panels with flat panels on a single accent wall creates an impressive visual effect with dynamic light and shadow.

Wall anchors leave small holes in the wall, but with proper installation the damage is minimal and can be easily repaired after removal.

Yes, but for secure mounting of the TV bracket, you need to use longer wall plugs that reach the main wall behind the panels (brick or drywall). Another option is to reinforce the supporting structure in advance, if one is present, at the exact points where the TV bracket will be fixed.

It is recommended that the wall where you plan to mount a TV bracket be covered with a flat panel rather than a 3D panel, so the bracket can fit securely and properly against the surface.

For a mirror or picture, it is enough to use longer wall plugs that reach the main wall (brick or drywall).

Yes, the panels combine perfectly with paint, plaster, wallpaper, and other materials to create unique design solutions.

Composite panels are safe for children, as they are non-toxic and can be easily cleaned when soiled with water-based materials.
